3rd website
https://www.pinterest.co.uk/

Pinterest attracts a diverse audience, primarily consisting of individuals interested in discovering and saving visual inspiration. This platform is popular among people looking for ideas related to fashion, home decor, cooking, DIY projects, and more. Its audience includes both men and women, with a significant presence of users in the age range of 16 to 49. Pinterest is especially appealing to those who enjoy visual content and seek inspiration for various aspects of their lives.

Bad Websites:
1st website
https://www.imdb.com/

IMDB updated its web pages, including the homepage, for a better user experience. However, some pages still have an outdated design with several UX issues. These include a lack of whitespace and colour, small font size, and too many ads. Visitors may find it hard to reach their goals, like knowing more about actors.

The design lacks clear navigation options. To fix this, IMDB needs to update the design, add more whitespace, and reduce clutter. This will make the site easier to navigate for both new and existing users.

2nd Website

https://www.ebay.co.uk/

eBay's product pages can be overwhelming due to the excessive amount of information presented. Simplifying the pages by focusing on one or two calls to action and presenting information in a more user-friendly manner could improve the user experience and increase the likelihood of making a purchase.ad intriguing, as it is both simple and efficient for those interested in contemporary fashion. The red accent in the top-left corner of the spread catches my eye as it adds a pop of colour to an otherwise monochromatic picture. I appreciate the use of minimal colour and the black-and-white image, as it makes for an engaging visual.

Analysis of a magazine cover

I am drawn to these magazine front covers because of their flashy design. Among them, the one on the left is particularly appealing to me due to its unique and emotive expression. The gold teeth are an amazing detail that adds to the overall design of the magazine cover.

Magazine inspiration/ideas
I like the red text because it is a pop of colour, and red signifies pain, sacrifice, danger, and courage. Additionally, the black-and-white photos are simple but effective.

Masthead Name Ideas
Isolation
The magazine name "Isolation" signifies women's independence and aims to explore mental health and societal views of women.

Volume
I think "Volume" could be an excellent name idea for a hair product. It relates to the structure of hair, which is crucial, especially for women with curly hair. The volume of your hair can significantly impact the overall look and outcome of your hairstyle.

The picture showcases a model wearing a beautiful, glittery maxi dress made of high-quality fabric. The overall look is classy, elegant, and perfect for a fashion-related magazine that caters to high-end brands and sophisticated styles.

This photo features a model facing away from the camera. This pose contributes to the photo's meaning, and the black and white filter adds a dramatic effect. I believe this photo could be suitable for a magazine article centred around women's mental health and hair, highlighting ways to improve confidence.

Magazine inspiration/Ideas:

Sketch cover/spread

In these drafts, I have been trying different layouts for the magazine and brainstorming potential names for it. I am considering creating a magazine focused on women's mental health, as well as one that empowers and improves the lives of women with curly hair. I have decided that the main colours for this magazine will be white, black, and red.

Final

After considering various ideas, I have decided to launch a magazine specifically for women with curly hair. The magazine will contain articles, tips, and expert advice on how to care for and style curly hair, as well as showcasing the latest trends and fashion for curly-haired women. The goal of the magazine is to celebrate the beauty and uniqueness of curly hair and to empower women to embrace and love their natural curls.

Hair volume refers to how full and thick your hair is. It can be influenced by genetics, age, and styling products. Adequate volume provides hair with a vibrant and youthful appearance, while flat hair can appear lifeless. Enhancing your hair volume can help you achieve a more attractive hairstyle that suits your preferences.

The vibrant red hue chosen for the magazine cover has been carefully selected to evoke feelings of passion, love, and desire in women who wear it. By wearing this colour, women can feel confident and empowered, as it represents a bold and courageous statement. The magazine cover is a perfect representation of how a simple colour choice can have a significant impact on the emotions and mindset of those who come across it.

In my opinion, the magazine layout is well-designed and visually appealing. The use of colours, images, and fonts is impressive. However, in terms of content, I feel that there is room for improvement. While the cover and featured articles are eye-catching, the inside of the magazine could benefit from more detailed information. Adding more substance to the articles and providing additional context would make the readers more engaged and satisfied. Overall, the magazine layout is good, but enhancing the content would make it even better.

Opening scenes (Action)

Kingsman: The Secret Service (2014)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZmVYeb-IyLs

The movie begins with a scene from the late 90s, where two terrorists or jihadists are seen sitting on a hilltop, seemingly enjoying the Dire Straits song "Money For Nothing," which features the memorable lyrics "I want my MTV..." being played on a cassette boombox.

Suddenly, a combat helicopter appears on the horizon, with two Kingsman agents hanging out from either side. They quickly shoot the two terrorists and then proceed to storm their fortress. Once inside, the Kingsmen take control of the situation and question a prisoner.

Unfortunately, Harry fails to spot that the tied-up prisoner has a concealed grenade. Just before he detonates it, one of the Kingsmen jumps on it, absorbing the force of the blast and saving his comrades.

Feeling guilty, Harry goes to meet his comrade's widow and tries to offer her comfort. He gives her a medal with a number engraved on it that she can call whenever she needs a favour.

Audio

soundscape refers to the collection of sounds that make up the acoustic environment as perceived by humans. It encompasses the natural sounds of the environment, such as the rustling of leaves or the chirping of birds, as well as the sounds created by humans, such as traffic or music.

The term "soundscape" was first coined by Michael Southworth, an urban planner, to describe the importance of sound in urban design.

Soundscaping is the process of deliberately combining sounds to create a specific effect. This can be done through the use of sound effects, music, or natural sounds, and is often used in film, video games, and other media to enhance the viewer's experience

It is commonly used in media to enhance the viewer's experience.

Sound research

Diegetic sound refers to the sound elements that are part of the story's universe, such as character dialogue, background sounds, and other sounds that are integral to the story. Non-diegetic sound, on the other hand, is added to a movie or video but is not heard by the characters in the story. Examples of non-diegetic sound include narrators.

Contrapuntal sound is a musical technique that involves playing two or more independent melodic lines together to create a rich and intricate composition. This type of sound can be used to create emotional tension.

ADR (Automated Dialogue Replacement) is a post-production technique used in the film industry to improve the audio quality of a movie. It involves re-recording dialogue, correcting mistakes, or adding clarity to the dialogue, resulting in a more polished and professional final product.

Foley sound is the art of creating and recording everyday sound effects to enhance the audio in films, television shows, and other media. For example, footsteps, door creaks, or the rustling of clothing can be created using Foley techniques.

Soundtrack refers to the collection of music or audio recordings used in a film, television show, or other media production. The soundtrack is used to enhance storytelling, create a mood, and evoke emotions in the audience. It can be composed specifically for the production or feature pre-existing songs.

Opening Scene

For the opening scene of my film, I teamed up with my friend to capture the essence of a lively "late morning." We acted out various scenarios, ensuring each moment felt genuine and captivating. After filming, I meticulously edited the footage to match the upbeat pace of the soundtrack I had chosen. To give the audience different viewpoints, I included plenty of camera angles and smooth transitions between scenes. Adding a cinematic touch, I applied a film-like filter to enhance the visuals and create an immersive atmosphere. Finally, I wrapped up with rolling credits, recognizing the contributions of everyone involved in bringing the scene to life, including the cast and editor.

To improve this performance, I noticed that the actor was seen smiling at the beginning of the scene which made it look less authentic. Perhaps, with a little more attention to detail, she could improve her acting skills and deliver a more realistic performance next time.
